Live Blog from SXSW

Mr. Boo and I are sitting on a grassy knoll on Waller Creek in the heart of downtown Austin, just across Stubb's bbq. We're patiently waiting with about four dozen other poor festival goers who won't get into the Muse show, which starts in about an hour. While we can't technically "see" much more than the creek , the rooftop of Stubb's and the chain link fence that separates us, we are in perfect ear shot of hearing one of the greatest live rock shows that any of these stinkin' hipsters will see at SXSW. One thing does bother me: Muse is supposedly all about rising up against the system, yet here we are on the other side while hundreds of badge holders - AKA - people who have money, are waltzing through the gates.  Mr. Boo and I think their street cred would have shot up had they played the free shows at Auditorium Shores to a larger crowd of fans. At least I'd have a more comfortable reason to smell like poop (it's a dog park) where I could see the band instead of smelling the horse poop from the mounted police who are camped here with us. blegh. Maybe we'll see them exit the tour us, which is about 20 feet away.
